Public Affairs and Advocacy
To be the recognized voice of individuals and families in Ontario by:
- Strengthening the profile of the network through marketing and communications.
- Developing and maintain relationships with key government officials and provincial partners.
- Facilitating the collection of data to strengthen our advocacy initiatives.
Growth and Sustainability
To explore additional opportunities for stewardship, growth and sustainability by:
- Diversifying revenue sources.
- Maintaining strong relationships with members.
- Recruiting new members.
Quality and Capacity
To be a trusted source of information and resources that enhance the quality, competency and capacity of members by:
- Providing resources that support service quality.
- Coordinating learning opportunities, including training, communities of practice, and an annual conference.
- Sourcing resourcing resources such as cost savings opportunities, services and tools that support organizational capacity and quality.
- Facilitating opportunities for members to expand funding through grants, government funding and social enterprise.

Where’s the Mental-health Help for Regular People?
Affordable, community based mental-health care exists in Ontario for everyone. What keeps Ontarians from accessing these resources is lack of awareness of the vital services provided by 45 Family Service Ontario agencies.
Demonstation Project Report
Through the Demo Project (September 2018-March 2020), 28 participating agencies implemented standardized measurement of psychotherapy service outcomes, and created a unique dataset showing collective client outcomes.

Decrease in Anxiety, Depression in Ontarians Receiving Psychotherapy from Family Service Ontario Agencies
In first-of-their kind results in the province, data from the Family Service Ontario Demonstration Project show that average client anxiety and depression decreased from moderate to mild severity after receiving short-term psychotherapy from Family Service Ontario agencies.
