Collective Impact

Family Service Ontario is a dependable voice and successful advocate for the issues that impact the daily lives of families in Ontario.

We're Stronger Together

We collaborate to strengthen the service delivery system through our networks and community partners.

We Make it Happen

We are agile, continuously identifying community needs and gaps in the service system and working collectively to implement solutions, effectively and efficiently.

We're Relationship Experts

Our focus on family and relationships shapes the way we deliver service and the unique role we play in the province’s health and social service eco-system.

We fill the Gaps in Care

For decades, we have been serving vulnerable, marginalized, and underserved populations and this has been the driver for our innovative and responsive services.

What do Family Service agencies do?

Family Service agencies provide counselling, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation to individuals, couples, and families through our continuum of high-quality services. Our services are a powerful relief to the province’s health care system by providing cost effective, community based and professional care.

Family Service agencies provide alternative interventions that often fill Ontario’s gaps in care. Our clients are among the most underserved and marginalized populations. We pride ourselves on our ability to build inclusive, responsive, and flexible services to ensure that no one is left behind.

Our therapists are registered, experienced and highly qualified, working within a client-centred and holistic approach. Equity, inclusion, and diversity are at the core of who we are and for this reason, we employ therapists from a variety of backgrounds and provide service in multiple languages.

Our services include mental health walk-in and quick access clinics, couple and family therapy, educational and therapeutic groups, workplace wellness interventions, justice programs, and developmental services. We work in collaboration with other local services to ensure clients have access to all the supports available to them.
